My name is Jackie Edwards and I set up our choir in Horseman’s Green following a village survey.

 

I met with Dan Bowman our choir leader back in 2018 and we’ve now been going 7 years!

 

When I met Dan he convinced me that everyone can sing.

 

I wasn’t entirely sure that was possible but he was right we can, and Dan is super talented!

 

He plays the piano, chooses the music we can sing , and he sings along with us.

 

We don’t test or audition your singing ability we just ask if you are a high or low and anything else you are middle range.

 

We sing in a semi circle and we have song sheets to follow!

 

It's all very casual, and we meet up every Thursday 6.30 til 8pm and currently we have 22 locals on the books and we average 15 regulars each week.

 

Once we have mastered about 15 songs we hold a music evening inviting family and friends to enjoy our efforts!

 

So far all our music evenings have gone down really well and we all believe it’s a fantastic social event, a great mood booster and fantastic for our mental well being.
